At Paderborn University, gender studies are the subject of numerous projects and courses. In addition to the "Gender Studies Certificate", which can be obtained for study specialisations with a gender focus, and a Master's (partial) degree programme in Gender Studies established in the winter semester 2014/15, in which courses from Education Studies and Sociology are offered in particular, there are many other courses with a focus on gender research/gender studies as well as a so-called "profile course" on "Dealing with Heterogeneity" (see the PLAZ pages).

In addition to the courses on gender studies in the individual degree programmes offered by the various faculties, Paderborn University also offers a large number of courses in the field of university didactics for teaching staff.
