Peer Coaching
In the peer coaching sessions organised by the Academic Career Development Office, doctoral candidates and postdocs at different stages of their careers come together to exchange views in a structured format on the topics that are currently of particular concern to them and support each other in developing solutions.
Starting your PhD
In the initial phase of their doctorate, many doctoral candidates feel like they are left alone with a wide range of interdisciplinary questions.This is where the peer coaching programme comes in: Doctoral candidates in the first year of their doctorate come together together, exchange ideas on topics that are currently on their minds, and support each other over the course of several sessions. The topics discussed in the individual sessions can be introduced by the participants themselves and the meetings can be organised according to their needs.

Doing Your PhD in Gemany
In this peer coachng, international doctoral candidates can come together to discuss current challenges they are facing in their academic or professional lives as international researchers at Paderborn University. In each session, one or two participants present a current challenge that is discussed in the group. We share experiences, give advice, and try to develop suitable solutions together.
