Diversity in studying and teaching
Paderborn University sees the heterogeneity of its students as an opportunity. Structures that promote diversity can be found in the working and study conditions as well as in the design of teaching and learning conditions on campus.
Teachers are supported in their efforts to create innovative, low-barrier teaching scenarios at Paderborn University with the help of training programmes for diversity-sensitive courses. Learners, in turn, are supported in their own individual abilities through competence-orientated learning opportunities and can attend courses that are tailored to their different needs and life situations.
In addition to multilingual teaching programmes, the focus is on creating study conditions that enable self-determined, goal-oriented learning for students at the university. Diversity-sensitive teaching and learning programmes therefore play a central role at Paderborn University in order to facilitate successful studies and to promote diversity on campus as a success factor for studying and teaching in the future.
