NeMo.Pilot - Phase 1
Overview
On-demand mobility services offer considerable potential for increasing the economic, ecological and social sustainability of local public transport. An innovative approach aimed at such a service in the form of needs-based, sustainable and individual public transport without changing trains is the NeMo.bil mobility system. The basic prerequisite for the transfer of the NeMo.bil system from testing to a pilot operation, in which the mobility needs of users in a region are served with a corresponding vehicle fleet, is an implementation concept. This includes an industrialization concept for the transfer of the system prototypes into a small series, the systematic analysis and selection of a suitable pilot region, the preparation of legal approvals, the operating concept, the preparation of a financing plan, the establishment of an organizational structure of the relevant stakeholders from business (system suppliers, mobility operators), politics, and society, as well as the timing of these activities. The aim of Phase I is to develop an implementation concept for a pilot operation of the NeMo.bil system with a fleet of autonomous lightweight vehicles in a sample region. Parallel to the ongoing testing of the system, the aim is to develop an in-depth understanding of the necessary preparations for a pilot operation and to initiate the necessary activities for the industrialization of the system.
