VRlinked - Collaboration in virtual space to increase creativity and innovation

Overview

In the VRlinked project, methods and tools are designed and developed on the basis of virtual reality technology, which support project teams operating in a distributed manner in creative and innovative collaboration in virtual space. To increase creativity and innovative strength, functions for stimulation, idea modeling and documentation are implemented in a virtual reality-based platform. The aim is to found a startup. The project is funded by EFRW.NRW.

During the 18-month project duration, the project will be implemented in five work packages. A strong focus is on the further and new development of modeling tools that significantly increase the concretization of generated ideas. Furthermore, interfaces and data formats are defined, which should make it easier for users to import and export data. In order to minimize the modeling effort for users, an automated design of virtual environments is made possible on the basis of artificial intelligence. Pilot projects with selected corporate partners serve to test the developed functions and tools and to validate the fulfillment of the requirements defined at the beginning of the project.
