Paderborn University is a member of the innovation2business.nrw network. The association and stakeholders from industry promote a strong ecosystem for innovation and transfer in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The patent officers advise inventors on site, organize subject-specific information events and support the universities conceptually in the development of their patent and exploitation strategies. The long-term goal is to increase the number and quality of inventions at all NRW universities and to strengthen cooperation between science and industry by promoting exploitation activities.
