The Direct Manufacturing Research Center is now equipped with two new testing machines: a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and a servo-hydraulic testing system for dynamic tests.
The CMM "Altera 8.7.6" of the manufacturer Nikon is used for the exact determination of dimensional, form and positional deviations within the DMRC projects. In the last week the staff of the DMRC have received a serveral-day training for handling of the coordinate measuring machine.
The other new equipment is a servo-hydraulic testing machine for the determination of fatigue properties. The Zwick / Roell "HC10" has a load cell of 10 kN and the testing actuator stroke is 100 mm. This system is especially used for testing of polymer materials.
